Outplacement Servies Our Outplacement Services are designed to assist terminated employees in finding alternate employment including self-appraisal, career counselling and job search skills, such as: resume and cover letter preparation and interviewing skills. As a result of our twenty-five years of senior human resource experience, we are able to share a vast wealth of practical information on how employers conduct interviews, which gives our clients an edge in their job search efforts. Services Offered Module One - Be available on the day that the employee(s) is advised of the employment separation.
- Following the day of separation meet with the employee(s) and identify the stages of transition (from old work to new work) and attempt to help the employee determine where they are on the transition spectrum.
- Provide Change & Transition services as needed and required.
- Provide Financial Planning counselling, if required.
Module Two - Critique existing resume(s) and cover letters (if available).
- Identify different resume formats and assist the employee in choosing the most appropriate format to fit their needs.
- Discuss the importance of cover letters and provide several examples of different cover letters.
Module Three - Identify key elements of both good and bad interviews.
- Distinguish the difference between private and public sector interviews and panel and sole interviews.
Module Four - Conduct video taped one-on-one interview and provide constructive feedback.
Module Five - Provide ongoing counsel and support - if required.
The above five modules can be delivered either in a workshop format to groups of employees or on a one-on-one basis depending on the client's needs. Additional Services - All clients receive five comprehensive handouts including Resume Preparation, The Importance of Cover Letters, Interviewing Techniques, Marketing Yourself In the Job Search (including on-line database directories) and Body Language Behaviours.
- Provide typed Resumes - maximum 50 copies - if required.
